PROSTATE PROBLEMS AND SOLUTION

PROSTATE PROBLEMS AND SOLUTION

You find that you need to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Sometimes, even though you feel like you need to urinate, you can’t get a stream started and when you do, there doesn’t seem to be much urine. The problem could be your prostate.

The prostate is a gland which surrounds the neck of the bladder and the urethra in the male. It consists of three lobes and is made up partly of glandular matter, the ducts from which empty into the prostatic portion of urethra, and partly of muscular fibers which encircle the urethra. This is the most frequent site of disorders in the genitor – urinary system of the male.

Prostatitis is an acute or chronic inflammation of the gland and is experienced by men of all ages. The usual cause is bacteria from an infection from another area of body.

Symptoms of acute prostatitis include pain, fever, frequent urination accompanied by a burning sensation, and blood or pus in the urine.

Symptoms of chronic prostatitis including frequent and burning pain upon urination, blood in urine, lower back pain, and impotence.

Benign hypertrophy. This condition occurs in approximately one third of all men over 50 years of age. It is a result of gradual enlargement of the gland.

It can cause disability and even serious illness if untreated.

Symptoms include the need to urinate frequently during the night, as well as pain, burning and difficulty in starting and stopping the urine flow.

Cancer of the prostate. This disease rarely occurs in men under 60. Because the symptoms are usually vague, a large percentage is undetected until the cancer has spread.

  • Avoid intercourse while the prostate is inflamed as it may further irritate the gland and delay recovery.
  • Do not limit your fluids, as these only increases the problems associated with bladder infections.
  • Try asparagines, a health – giving alkaloid found in fresh asparagus. Use a juicer to make a combination of raw asparagus, carrot and cucumber juice. Drink 8 ounces daily.
  • A teaspoonful of unrefined sesame oil taken daily for at least one month has been known to aid in reducing an enlarged prostate.
  • Eliminate all caffeine and alcohol.
  • Try eating some unpressed, unsalted pumpkin seeds daily. They are rich in many of the nutrients essential for prostate health, particularly zinc.
