HEAT EXHAUSTION Solution

You played a round of golf and then a set of tennis and you forgot your hat. Suddenly you have a headache and begin to feel dizzy. You’ve overdone it in the heat.

  • Get out of the sun right away.
  • Drink some water to replace all that you have lost in sweating.
  • If suffer from heat exhaustion frequently, you need to eat more fruits and vegetables: they have natural water content.
  • Drink one of the sports drinks to replace both potassium and sodium.
  • Do not use salt tablets, because they really don’t replace essential mineral lost through sweating.
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine.
  • Don’t smoke
  • Wear a hat
  • Wear light colors, because they reflect the sun’s rays better than dark ones.
  • Wear loosely woven fabric which let your breath.
