HAY FEVER

HAY FEVER an allergy

Hay fever is a reaction which affects the mucous membranes of the nose, eye and breathing passages. It can be caused by any variety of inhalants. Dust, pollen, feathers and animal dander are the most frequent culprits.

Individual reaction will often vary because there are differing pollens throughout the year.

Spring type is usually due to tree pollens, summer type to grass and weed pollens, autumn type due to weed pollens and occasionally, it can be due primarily to airborne fungus spores.
