POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION CARE

POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION CARE

You brought your beautiful baby home, you thought you would be thrilled to be a new mother but now you not feel overwhelmed, you are wondering if these whole things are a big mistake on your part. How can any real mother feel this way? You could be suffering from postpartum depression.

  • Be aware of this change in your body’s chemistry and give yourself time to adjust physically. Your thinking may be controlled by your hormones at this time.
  • Arrange for some household help so you won’t be alone with the new baby and become over fatigued.
  • Nap when the baby naps.
  • Plan to leave the baby with a sitter and take some time out away from home with your husband, even if it is only for an hour or two.
