PREGNANCY PLAN & CARE
 Healthy mothers have healthy babies. If you plan a pregnancy and want to get it off to a good start: 
- Have a complete medical check – up before you get pregnant. 
- Talk to your doctor about your medications. 
- When you decide to have a baby, stop talking birth control pills three months before you plan to get pregnant. 
- Maintain a normal weight, lose excess pounds before the pregnancy. 
- Maintain a nutrition diet. 
- Avoid caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. 
- Relax and avoid stress. 
- Take childbirth preparation classes and encourage your husband to take them with you. 
- Discuss your views on child-rearing with your husband: you may find that you have very differing views which need to be talked about before the baby arrives.
