Your scales won’t tell you and neither your clothing. What you are really need to know is how much of your total body weight is made up of fat.
You may look slim, you may have lost weight, but you might really be over-fat. The ideal is no more than 16 per cent for men and 20 per cent for women.

- Pinch a fold of skin from the upper side of upper arm, midway up the back of your thigh, and at one side of your abdomen, just below your waist.
- Measure the thickness of this pinch of flesh with the ruler or a caliper. If you can pinch less than 1 inch, your body fat level is OK. Every 1\4 inch above that represents 10 pounds of excess fat.
