Facial hair is a problem for many women as long as we live in a culture that declares it unfeminine.
- Shaving is not a good option for women, as it soon grows back with stiff stubble.
- Try depilatory creams. They dissolve unwanted hair but can cause skin irritation. Try a patch test first.
- Bleaching is a good solution for small amounts of hair. It makes the hair less visible, but as the hairs grow, it will come back in its original color.
- Plucking is not a good option for hair on the upper lip but is good for eyebrow hair.
- Electrolysis is the only permanent solution to excessive facial hair: it destroys the hair root so it will not grow back.
