Natural Herbs for Hot Flushes

  • Black Cohosh – This well-known herbal treatment for menopause contains phytoestrogens, a compound that actually imitates the body’s own estrogen. It has proven success with both hot flashes and night sweats.
  • Dong quai – This particular herb acts much like Black Cohosh, using phytoestrogens to help regulate the body’s reaction to lower estrogen levels, also helping with hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms.
  • Flaxseed – Flaxseed may be the most popular herbal remedy for menopause symptoms. It is loaded with estrogen-like plant chemicals called lignans that have been shown to effectively cut the intensity of hot flashes by 57%.
  • Evening Primrose Oil – While it doesn’t have a huge scientific background, this herb oil contains an omega-6 essential fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid that can significantly reduce hot flashes and decrease breast tenderness during menopause.
  • Soy – Soy in its purest forms (Tofu, soybeans, and soymilk) help increase bone density and strength. Studies have shown that women’s bones lose density, dexterity, and strength during menopause. FACIAL HAIR Care

FACIAL HAIR Solution

Facial hair is a problem for many women as long as we live in a culture that declares it unfeminine.

  • Shaving is not a good option for women, as it soon grows back with stiff stubble.
  • Try depilatory creams. They dissolve unwanted hair but can cause skin irritation. Try a patch test first.
  • Bleaching is a good solution for small amounts of hair. It makes the hair less visible, but as the hairs grow, it will come back in its original color.
  • Plucking is not a good option for hair on the upper lip but is good for eyebrow hair.
  • Electrolysis is the only permanent solution to excessive facial hair: it destroys the hair root so it will not grow back.

  • Eat more fish as they contain omega-3 fatty acids which suppress prostaglandin production –one of the hormones that affect the lining of the uterus (endometrial tissue).
  • Try bed rest, moist heat or heating pad and warm drinks to relax the cramping caused by the uterine muscles.
  • Exercise, as this reduces estrogen level and may slow the growth of the endometriosis.
  • Reduce your intake of caffeine as this chemical increases your sensation of pain.
  • Use a lubricant to ease painful intercourse.
  • An acupressure technique that seems to help is to press the inside of your leg, approximately two inches above your ankle bone.

BREASTFEEDING Solution

Breast- feeding does great things for both babies and mothers. Some hints can make it trouble-free.

  • Choose a good nursing bra. Choose all cotton. Make sure you can open and close the bra with one hand.
  • Position the baby correctly. Tickle the baby’s lower lip with your nipple so that the baby open wide. The nipple needs to be inserted deep into the baby’s throat so that the baby can suck properly.
  • Nurse from both breasts during each feeding and nurse often. This creates b better bonding mother and baby.
  • Don’t toughen the nipples. If baby is positioned correctly this won’t be necessary.
  • Do not use soap on the nipples, as this dries them out. Glands around the areola produce oil with an antiseptic in it so soap is unnecessary. Then air- dries the nipple before covering them.
  • Use your own milk to help heal sore nipples. Express a little of the milk and rub it around the nipple. This milk is high lubricants and contains an antibiotic.
